Clarisonic is clinically proven to be twice as effective as manual cleansing and removes six times more makeup, which can wreak havoc on the face if not removed properly. It has been shown to be suitable for all skin types, including skin affected by dermatological conditions like rosacea, acne or seborrhoea.

Clarisonic was initially used by dermatologists and by beauty professionals in spas and salons and they popularised it amongst patients as a pre-treatment tool. Before long it was being recommended by them for home-use in between treatments.

Clarisonic was developed by the original inventors of the Sonicare® toothbrush which uses acoustic energy to clean the teeth. The expert team have again harnessed sonic micro-massage technology to achieve a breakthrough in skin care treatment. The brush works with the skin’s natural elasticity to cleanse the face, neck and body, gently massaging dirt and impurities from the dermis without harsh abrasion or the need for topical chemicals. Because it massages and cleans so deeply yet gently, it achieves a penetrating clean that brings about improved skin tone and reduces the appearance of oily areas, dry skin patches and blemishes.

After using the product Dr Trisha MacNair, commented “I’m very impressed with how effectively Clarisonic cleans the skin and removes debris. It is undoubtedly a great way to keep your skin looking fresh and healthy. But as a doctor I am also intrigued by the possibility that, in addition to its cosmetic effects, it might help in a variety of skin problems from acne and rosacea to seborrhea dermatitis”

In addition to its capacity to cleanse, Clarisonic helps unlock the potential of topical serums and treatments as its massaging action cleans so thoroughly it prepares and opens up the pores to absorb skin care products more readily, improving their effectiveness. Studies show up to 61% better absorption of Vitamin C after using Clarisonic compared with manual cleansing, allowing the skin to experience the full benefits of creams and moisturisers.

As a result SpaceNK founder Nicky Kinnaird recommends the Clarisonic skincare system as the ‘must-have’ product for it’s skincare benefits: “This high-tech face brush unlocked the benefits of every single skincare product I own. Even more impressive is that it allows all of your favourite serums and creams to penetrate much better.”

Dermatologist Dr Ranella Hirsh explains “These days, people are using sunscreens daily, long-lasting makeup and self-tanners, so it’s imperative to properly cleanse the face if you want clear skin. Dirt, oil and bacteria left on the skin can wreak havoc, and without clean pores, treatment products like acne fighters and anti-ageing moisturisers are less effective.”

Clarisonic can be used as a pre-procedural cleansing tool in professional practice as thorough skin cleansing assures that treatments are being performed on skin which is free of anything which might impede their effectiveness. It is often used as the first step before performing a number of facial procedures, whilst it gives patients a stimulating facial or body massage while in use. The product can then be offered to clients to carry on the good work started in practice to ensure they maintain a high standard of cleansing between treatments.

Because it is so new, the Company has entered Clarisonic in the new Product Innovation Showcase at the Professional Beauty Show, and is keen to encourage beauty professionals to trial the Clarisonic so they can appreciate how effective it can be on themselves before using it on their patients. So at the Professional Beauty Show they will be able to obtain a top of the range Clarisonic Pro model with face and body brush for £70, which normally retails for £175.
