Bubble & Balm became one of the first companies in the UK to offer beauty products carrying the Fairtrade Mark. Bubble & Balm is the only company in the UK whose entire range is Fairtrade certified. There are 18 products in the range, as well as gift sets.

In addition to being Fairtrade, Bubble & Balm’s products are 100% natural, containing ingredients such as Fairtrade certified shea butter, Fairtrade certified cocoa butter, jojoba oil, rosehip oil and Vitamin E. The striking aluminium packaging not only looks good, but is also easily recycled.

Individual product prices range from £14.95 for Pure Shea, which contains over 99% Fairtrade certified shea butter, to £7.95 for Stubble & Balm, a shaving oil for men. In addition the company offers a Made for Me service, which gives customers the opportunity to create their own Fairtrade product by choosing which essential oils are added to their favourite Bubble & Balm ‘base’ product. Personalised products are handmade by Bubble & Balm at their base in Leamington Spa, Warwickshire.

The launch of Bubble & Balm coincided with the Fairtrade Foundation press launch of Fairtrade certified beauty products, at which the company displayed its new range.

Commenting on the launch, founder Sue Acton said: ‘We’re really excited to be at the forefront of Fairtrade beauty. With our high percentage of Fairtrade ingredients, natural formulations and our Made for Me service, our new range is not only gorgeous and ethical, it’s also unique.’

Products are currently available to purchase at the company’s website. Selected products are also available at Ethical Superstore and Natural Collection.
