Hair colour hass never been a hot topic for blokes - talk of highlights is usually related to football, not their dye job - however in the last few years things have started to change, and and Daniel Craig is to blame.

Marc Ramos, Naturtint Colour Consultant, said: "The blonde Bond debate has thrust men's hair colour into the limelight - it has given them a Licence to Colour, so to speak. Men are much more likely to seek out information about hair dye than they were two years ago."

Despite losing some of its taboo, most blokes still don’t want to broadcast the fact that they’re colouring their hair. So, how do they become a secret agent and colour their hair without a very public visit to a salon?

Home hair dying is the answer and it can be a quick and embarrassment-free experience undertaken in the privacy of the bathroom. Marc Ramos says since the fair-haired actor was controversially announced as the new James Bond men have become more likely to talk about their hair colour.

Marc has some home hair dye tips to ensure men successfully pull off the coloured look:

- Be a shade smarter – Choosing the right colour is essential if you don’t want your foray into the world of hair dye to be too obvious. Stick to something just one or two shades different to your natural colour and you can’t go wrong.

- Check for poison - Always do a skin test! There’s nothing worse than having an allergic reaction to the chemicals in a dye. A chemically-light hair colourant like Naturtint Natural Men is the best option – it’s free from ammonia and resorcinol.

- Shaken, not stirred - If the instructions tell you to shake the bottle first, shake it. Ditto wearing the plastic gloves, leaving the dye on for the full development time and rinsing it out thoroughly. Following the instructions provided will prevent any disasters.

- There’s always a twist - If you want an even more subtle and natural look, twist sections of your hair as you apply the colourant. This will create texture and movement.

Natural Men is a range of hair colourants specifically formulated for blokes. It develops in record time, as quick as shaving, and has at least two applications per pack so they can Dye Another Day! At just £11.99 that’s great value for money - leaving guys with enough cash to show off their new look as they throw back a vodka martini – shaken, not stirred.

Natural Men is available in six shades:
Blond
Dark Chestnut
Chestnut
Dark Blond Black
Light Chestnut

Natural Men costs £11.99 and is available from good independent health food stores nationwide, Harrods and via mail order.
